CLEVELAND -- Officers assigned to the Occupy Cleveland location received a complaint that people were sleeping.
This action is in violation of the current permit.
The two officers found a number of people sleeping at tables under a tarp.
The officers began waking up the individuals and asking for identification.
Everyone complied with the officers' requests except one man who refused to give his name. While officers escorted the man to the police car, he stopped, dropped down to the ground near the police car, and then when officers attempted to handcuff the man, he began swinging his arm wildly.
The officers were able to secure the man and put him in the police car.
The man has been identified as 24-year-old Johnathan Bowen who was arrested for obstruction of official business, aggravated disorderly conduct and peace disturbance, and resisting arrest.
The investigation continues and the Prosecutor is being consulted.
