CLEVELAND -- Lee Hirsch, the director of "Bully," the widely talked about documentary, will be in town on Saturday for special Q&A sessions at the Cedar Lee Theatre.
Hirsch's visit to Cleveland comes after the city finished first place in an online national contest on eventful.com. He will be answering questions about his movie after the 4:40 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. showings Saturday.
Tickets are $9 for adults and $6 for seniors (60+) and children (12 and under).
"Clevelanders are passionate about films and filmmakers so we are honored to host Mr. Hirsch at the Cedar Lee Theatre," says Jonathan Forman, President of Cleveland Cinemas."Having the director here for Q&A's will allow audiences a rare privilege to speak with the man behind this important film."
The movie, which focuses on bullying in schools, raised nationwide discussions after the MPAA gave it an R rating due to graphic language. Many argued that the R rating restricted the target audience from seeing the movie.
"Bully" was filmed over the course of the 2009/2010 school year and documents the responses of teachers and administrators to aggressive behaviors that defy "kids will kids" clichés.
It was eventually given a PG-13 rating.
