LORAIN--  Lorain County Emergency Management crews are already on standby as the National Weather service predicts quite a bit of rain, in not a lot of time.

"There's indications that if Isaac remnants get here 2-4 inches," said Director, Tom Kelley.

According to weather moguls, the heaviest of the rain is predicted to fall Monday afternoon into Monday night. The concern is this time nature may not take its course.

"We've had such a drought the ground is hard and we cant know how much is going to be absorbed before run off depends how much rainfall in a timeframe," said Kelley.

Homeowners across the county have been warned to begin taking steps, to minimize property damage.

County officials are asking that they move furniture and other valuable items upstairs, just in case sewage systems do back up.

Also, residents are being asked to clear their storm drains of debris so the drains in the yard and on the streets will work as their supposed to.
