A bittersweet homecoming over the weekend at the Akron Canton Airport.
Bagpipes, banners and a big crowd welcomed home World War II heroes from the final Honor Flight at the airport.
Honor Flight is a national program that flies World War II veterans to Washington D-C, where they can visit the memorial that honors their service and sacrifice.
About 75 veterans participated in the last trip from the Akron-Canton airport.
All were grateful for the special opportunity.
