MEDINAH, Ill. -- Bubba Watson and Webb Simpson are rolling and the Americans are winning.
Again.
The U.S. is poised to pad its commanding 8-4 lead over Europe in Saturday afternoon's session, with leads in all but one of the fourball matches.
The biggest lead belongs to Watson and Simpson, who are 3 up over Justin Rose and Francesco Molinari through 11 holes. Only Steve Stricker and Tiger Woods are trailing, down 4 to Sergio Garcia and Luke Donald at the turn.
The Americans need 14 1/2 points to regain the Ryder Cup. The largest comeback in Ryder Cup history was at Brookline in 1999, when the U.S. erased a 10-6 deficit on the final day.
