MENTOR -- A broken private fire line created high water on Tyler Boulevard in Mentor.
We're told the water line belonged to a commercial property.
The line break also led to water inside the Western Reserve Harley Davidson Dealership. The owner, Zoli Dudevszky, tells Channel 3 News it took crews several minutes to shut off the line.
Dudevszky says water was a foot high outside the front door, and several inches of muddy water leaked into the showroom. Workers seeing the flood coming moved about 50 bikes out to the parking lot.
The biggest fear was losing additional Christmas stock with holiday shopping right around the corner.
"All this merchandise, it takes like six months to get. So if we lose it, we've lost it. There's no replacement. So, that's scary!" said Dudevszky.
The line has since been turned off and repairs are underway.
Only a few items were damaged, but the store was closed through the afternoon while cleanup crews tried to dry out the shop.
