FAIRLAWN -- A new program settling in at Summit Mall will give people the chance to chat with local healthcare providers in a very casual fashion.
The "Walk with a Doc" program works to empower patients to improve their health through physical activity as they walk side by side with healthcare providers, providing an informal opportunity to ask medical questions.
"'Walk with a Doc' is a great opportunity to connect with local physicians, increase your physical activity and improve your health," said Kate Miller, area director of marketing and business development for Simon Property Group.
"Walk with a Doc" is a non-profit nationwide program. It begins at Summit Mall on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 8 a.m. with a 30-minute walk followed by health tips from a Cleveland Clinic orthopaedic surgeon.
Those interested in reserving a spot at "Walk with a Doc" can call 330-867-6997, ext. 23.
Attendees will meet in the mall's food court the morning of the event.
Walks will occur monthly at Summit Mall, which is located at the intersection of Route 18 and Ghent Road, throughout the year.
Summit Mall's "Walk with a Doc" is sponsored locally by Cleveland Clinic's Medina Hospital.
