Bowling Green, OH -- Reggie Keely had 21 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the floor, and the Ohio Bobcats defeated the Bowling Green Falcons, 78-65, in Mid-American Conference play at the Stroh Center.
Nick Kellogg tallied 16 points and five steals to help the Bobcats (21-8, 12-2 MAC) sweep the season series. Walter Offutt chipped in with 12 points and five assists, while D.J. Cooper scored 10 and dished out six helpers.
A'uston Calhoun had a game-high 24 points and seven rebounds for the Falcons (12-17, 6-8), who fell at home for only the second time in conference play this season. No other player reached double figures for BGSU.
Keely's jumper at the 7:52 mark of the first half ignited a 10-2 spurt for OU that stretched a little more than a minute and turned a two-point lead into a 10-point cushion. The Falcons scored the final five points of the half as they went into intermission trailing, 39-33.
The Bobcats seized control in the second stanza behind a 60-percent shooting effort from the floor and five 3-pointers.
OU forced 21 turnovers for the game and held a key 22-10 advantage in points off turnovers.
