CLEVELAND -- Rome and the school here now have an even closer bond.

Once word got out a new pope had been chosen, you could see white smoke here on the campus of St. Ignatius High School. Adding to the excitement -- it's the first Jesuit pope.

Mike McLaughlin is chairman of the Ignatius theology department, and feels this has special meaning for the Jesuit school.

Students are also excited about the choice.

And for McLaughlin. his 10-day trip to Rome next week for Palm Sunday and a soccer trip with his son's team just got even more special.

"I just hope I can see him...a memory of a lifetime," McLaughlin said.
