HINCKLEY -- The buzzards have returned to the Hinckley Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks!
The "official" arrival time was Friday at 8:15 a.m.
Lore has it that the buzzards ( turkey vultures) return to the Hinckley Metropark every March 15th and this is a sure sign that spring has arrived.
Buzzard spotters have been celebrating the March 15th return of the birds for over 50 years.
Buzzard festivities continue throughout the weekend, with the buzzard pancake breakfast at the metropark on Sunday, March 17 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
