Vancouver, BC (Sports Network) - Vancouver Canucks forward Daniel Sedin
will not play in Game 3 of their Western Conference quarterfinal series
against the Los Angeles Kings.
Head coach Alain Vigneault stated after practice on Saturday that Sedin would
not fly with the team to LA for Sunday night's game. Vigneault gave no further
word on whether Sedin would be ready for Game 4 on Wednesday in Los Angeles.
Sedin hasn't played since March 21 after taking an elbow to the head from
Chicago defenseman Duncan Keith. He finished the season with 30 goals and 37
assists in 72 games.
The defending Western Conference champions dropped the first two games in
Vancouver.
