CLEVELAND -- Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Cribbs was ticketed for driving his 2010 Bentley 103 mph in a 60 mph zone at 8:45 p.m. Friday, according to Cleveland Municipal Court records.
Cribbs, 28, of North Royalton, was stopped driving northbound on Interstate 71 near Fulton Road on April 20 by the Cuyahoga County Sheriiff's department after a laser gun clocked him.
Following the incident, Cribbs tweeted on his Twitter page: "Yes I was pulled over for speeding, going to fast luckily the police were on the job, wasn't going that fast the entire time obviously but wrong is wrong, gotta face the music just like anyone else"...."Much Respect to the police officers who pulled me over! I will lead better on the road now as well as on & off the field!!!"
He is scheduled to appear in court at 1:30 p.m. May 4 in Cleveland Municipal Court in Courtroom B.
If found guilty, that would be 2 points added to his driver's license.
