St. Petersburg, FL (Sports Network) - Luke Scott's go-ahead home run in the sixth inning lifted the red-hot Tampa Bay Rays to a 5-4 win over the Seattle Mariners in the third game of a four-game set.

James Shields (5-0) fanned 11 and became the first MLB pitcher to reach five wins despite allowing four runs on five hits and four walks in six innings.

Sean Rodriguez smacked a two-run home run for the Rays, who have won 10 of their last 11 games.

Kyle Seager belted two homers and drove in four for Seattle, which has dropped five consecutive contests.
