Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Adam Dunn, A.J. Pierzynski and Dayan Viciedo
each homered to lead the Chicago White Sox to a 9-3 stomping of the Cleveland
Indians in the first of a three-game set at U.S. Cellular Field.
Alejandro De Aza drove in a pair of runs and Paul Konerko extended his hitting
streak to 11 games as the White Sox picked up their third straight win and
seventh in their last eight contests.
Jose Quintana (1-0) picked up his first major league win after holding the
Indians to two runs on four hits over six frames.
Shin-Soo Choo had two doubles and scored twice and Asbrudal Cabrera and Carlos
Santana each had an RBI for the Indians, who had a three-game winning streak
snapped. Shelley Duncan added a solo homer.
Jeanmar Gomez (3-3) was pegged with the loss after giving up six runs on six
hits in 5 2/3 innings.
