If there was any doubt that NBC's London Olympic coverage was going to focus on U.S. swimmers, especially Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte, there shouldn't be now: U.S. swimmers are already bringing a pop to NBC's ratings.
NBC's primetime coverage of the U.S. swim trials Monday drew a 4.4 national rating, translating to 4.4% of U.S. households
That's up 91% from comparable coverage in 2008. And, it the highest national rating for any Olympic trials since coverage of gymnastics trials in 2000 drew 7.2% of U.S. households.
