AKRON, OHIO -- Two adult silver carp were found in Great Miami River.

Scientists say it's just a matter of time. Asian Carp are on Ohio's doorstep and could work their way into Lake Erie.

In Akron, the Tuscarawas River is connected to the Cuyahoga River by way of the Ohio and Erie Canal. It's one of several paths the destructive fish could use to get to our Great Lake.

"The Lake Erie area certainly would be a habitat where the scince study does predict asian carp would thrive" says John Goss, National Carp Czar. The Division of Wildlife is monitoring the spread of the carp. How they stop the spread of this invader is the question everyone wants answered.
