BEREA, Ohio -- Browns coach Pat Shurmur and his staff spent the day talking to Cleveland's players about their mistakes in Sunday's loss at Cincinnati.

There was plenty to discuss. Penalties, missed tackles - there were six on an 81-yard punt return for a score by Adam "Pacman" Jones - and blown coverages by their inexperienced secondary resulted in a 34-27 loss to the Bengals.

Shurmur said all the mistakes "eat at me a little bit," but he was particularly bothered by some pre-snap infractions against the Browns, who twice lined up offside on defense and committed a crucial offside penalty on 3rd-and-1 in the fourth quarter.

Shurmur was pleased to see rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden and running back Trent Richardson bounce back from bad debuts.

Shurmur hopes they can continue to progress and the Browns can put all three facets together this week against Buffalo.
