Tonight's Friday Night Fever "Big Game" is the West Shore Conference showdown at Grafton's Adelsberg Stadium between the visiting Avon Eagles and the host Midview Middies.
The Week 7 gridiron clash pits the WSC's 2012 headliners and lone remaining unbeaten squads in league play against one another.
The Middies enter the contest with an unblemished 6-0 (3-0 WSC) record and the Eagles hit the road for the second straight week with a 5-1 (3-0 WSC) mark, having strung together five consecutive wins.
Midview is ranked seventh in this week's Associated Press Division II state media poll and Avon, while unranked, received votes in the poll. Both teams have comparable, playoff-caliber talent.
According to the latest Ohio Athletic Association computer rankings, the Middies are currently ranked third in Region 6 while Avon is currently slated eighth in the same region. The top eight seeds in each region at the conclusion of Week 10 qualify for the playoffs.
Avon's lone defeat came in a 42-28 opening-season road loss to rival Avon Lake.
The Middies have outscored their first six opponents by a combined score of 190-81. Sophomore quarterback Cody Callaway has completed 96-of-169 passes for 1,441 yards and 17 touchdowns. Callaway and juniors David Bakos and Adam Prechtl have all rushed for more than 100 yards through the season's first six contests.
The Eagles have outscored their first six opponents by a combined score of 223-80. Senior David Zeh threw for 259 yards and four touchdowns in the team's 45-14 win at Elyria Catholic last week.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
