Relive some of the biggest happenings from the past week in Northeast Ohio prep sports.

Sunday

St. Thomas Aquinas senior Cory Glines placed seventh at the Nike Cross Country Championships Midwest Regional in Indiana on Nov. 11.

Wednesday

Avon Lake senior volleyball player Whitney Criago was selected as the 28th Lorain County Miss Volleyball recipient on Wednesday.

North Canton Hoover softball players Ally Farrah and Kelly Dillow recently firmed up their respective college plans. Farrah, a senior, officially signed a national letter of intent to attend Ashland University in fall 2013 and to join the Eagles' softball program. Dillow, a junior, recently orally committed to attend Wright State University in fall 2013 and to join the Raiders' softball program.

Gilmour Academy senior student-athletes Andrew Bieber and Danny Urban signed college national letters of intent on Wednesday. Bieber committed to attend Duke University and to join the Blue Devils' golf program while Urban committed to attend St. Bonaventure University and to join the Bonnies' baseball program.

University School senior student-athletes Yale Goldberg and Hayes McGinley signed college national letters of intent on Wednesday. Goldberg committed to attend Stanford Universit and to join the Cardinal's men's tennis program while McGinley committed to attend Syracuse University and to join the Orangemen's lacrosse program.

Padua Franciscan senior student-athlete Tyler Ptacek signed a college national letter of intent on Wednesday, officially agreeing to attend North Carolina-Wilmington in fall 2013 and to join the school's men's basketball team.

Midview senior student-athletes Eric Lauer and Kate Thomas signed national college national letters of intent on Wednesday. Lauer committed to attend Kent State University and to join the Golden Flashes' baseball program while Thomas committed to attend Cleveland State University and to join the Vikings' softball program.

Four Solon senior student-athletes - Anthony Collica, Brandon Thompson, Martha Thompson and Kristi Tekavec - signed college national letters of intent on Wednesday. Collica committed to attend and wrestle at Oklahoma State University, Brandon Thompson committed to attend and wrestle at Grand Canyon University, Martha Thompson committed to attend and play basketball at Xavier University and Tekavec committed to attend and play volleyball at Fordham University.

Medina senior student-athlete Sarah Kinch signed a college national letter of intent on Wednesday, officially agreeing to attend Northern Kentucky University in fall 2013 and to join the school's women's hoops team.

Cortland Lakeview senior student-athlete Aylssa Nicholas signed a college national letter of intent on Wednesday, officially agreeing to attend the University of Akron in fall 2013 and to join the school's softball team.

Orrville senior student-athletes Hannah Plybon and Rylee Scott signed national college national letters of intent on Wednesday. Plybon committed to the University of Akron and to join the Zips' women's basketball program while Scott committed to attend Ashland University and to join the school's volleyball program.

Thursday

Clearview senior student-athlete Ryan Vargo signed a college national letter of intent on Thursday, officially agreeing to attend Tiffin University in fall 2013 and to join the school's baseball program.

Friday

Norton senior student-athlete Matt McGlone was recently medically cleared to play on the school's boys basketball team this season. He was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm in August and was forced to miss most of the football season.

According to the Prep Baseball Report, Tallmadge senior student-athlete Kody Edwards has orally committed to attend Wheeling Jesuit University and to join the school's baseball program.

According to the Prep Baseball Report, Wadsworth senior student-athlete Jack Pecnik has orally committed to attend Lake Erie College and to join the school's baseball program.

According to the Prep Baseball Report, Nordonia senior student-athlete Billy Smith has orally committed to attend Lake Erie College and to join the school's baseball program.

Hathaway Brown senior student-athlete Stephanie Poland signed a college national letter of intent on Friday, officially agreeing to attend Colgate University in fall 2013 and to join the school's women's basketball program.

Akron Archbishop Hoban senior student-athlete Megan Donahue signed a college national letter of intent on Friday, officially agreeing to attend Sienna College in fall 2013 and to join the school's women's basketball program.
