Toledo Central Catholic and Trotwood-Madison will clash on the gridiron for the first time with a championship at stake when the two squads play in the Division II title game on Friday night at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium in Massillon.
The Fighting Irish (13-1) are playing in the state final for the first time since 2005 when they defeated Canfield 31-29 to be crowned champions.
The Trotwood-Madison Rams (12-2) are making their third consecutive trip to Stark County to play for a state title and return as defending champs, after defeating Avon 42-28 in the 2011 title game.
