Meet this week's WKYC-TV Channel 3 "Student-Athlete of the Week," Brooklyn High School senior basketball standout Michael Byndas.

Byndas is a captain on the Hurricanes' varsity boys hoops team and was selected as a Preseason First-Team All-Patriot Athletic Conference honoree.

The senior student-athlete is also involved in many school clubs and extracurricular activities, including working at the Brooklyn Recreation Center and serving as a four-year member of the school's marching, concert, pit and jazz bands.

Byndas mantains a 4.32 GPA.
