Cookeville, TN (Sports Network) - Jud Dillard scored 23 points as the
Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles got by the Green Bay Phoenix with a 74-68 victory
at the Eblen Center.
Lanerryl Johnson added 22 points off the bench and Jeremia Samarrippas put in
15 points for Tennessee Tech (5-3).
Keifer Sykes tallied 18 points and Brennan Cougill tacked on 17 for Green Bay
(3-5).
Both teams shot well in the first half. Green Bay hit on 54.2 percent of his
shots from the field, including 3-of-6 from 3-point range, and had a 38-36
lead at the break. Tennessee Tech shot 53.8 percent and nailed 5-of-11 3-point
shots.
In the second half both teams regressed with Tennessee Tech shooting 37.0
percent and Green Bay connecting on 38.5 percent. The Golden Eagles were able
to separate itself by outscoring the Phoenix from beyond the arc (12-3) and
the free throw line (14-9).
The Golden Eagles outscored the Phoenix 27-12 in the game from 3-point range.
