Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Joe Coleman led 11 Minnesota scorers with
12 points and the No. 13 Golden Gophers concluded their non-conference
schedule with a 75-50 thumping of the Lafayette Leopards on Saturday.
In helping Minnesota (12-1) claim its eighth straight win, Coleman connected
on 6-of-8 shots from the field, while the Gophers also received 10 points from
Oto Osenieks and eight points apiece from Rodney Williams, Maurice Walker and
Maverick Ahanmisi.
After winning back-to-back games, the Leopards (5-9) were held to their
second-lowest point total of the season with Dan Trist, Seth Hinrichs and
Joey Ptasinski combining for 35 points.
Trist led the team with 14 points, while Hinrichs and Ptasinski scored 11 and
10, respectively, in defeat.
