Logan, UT (Sports Network) - Kyisean Reed posted a double-double of 20 points
and 10 rebounds as the Utah State Aggies topped the Seattle Redhawks, 75-66,
in a Western Athletic Conference duel at Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
Also in double figures for Utah State (12-1, 3-0 WAC) were Preston Medlin, who
scored 18 points and handed out five assists, and Marcel Davis, who chipped in
13 points and dished out seven helpers. Utah State has now won 11 straight
games.
DeShaun Sunderhaus also recorded a double-double for Seattle (5-7, 0-2) with
23 points and 10 rebounds. Chad Rasmussen chipped in 11 points as well.
Utah State led 34-28 at the end of the first half by shooting 51.7 percent
from the field. Although Seattle managed to connect on just 41.7 percent of
its field goal attempts the Redhawks remained close by outscoring the Aggies
from 3-point range (12-6).
Despite cooling to 34.5 percent shooting in the second half the Aggies
outscored the Redhawks 17-0 from the charity stripe to secure the victory.
Seattle assisted on 23 of its field goals but also turned the ball over 18
times leading to 26 points for the Aggies.
