Cookeville, TN (Sports Network) - Behind a career-high 21 points from J.J.
Mann, the Belmont Bruins made easy work of the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles,
83-52, in Ohio Valley Conference action at the Eblen Center.
Both Mann and Ian Clark (19 points, six assists) drilled five 3-pointers for
Belmont (11-4, 2-0 OVC), which has won four of its last five contests. Blake
Jennings added 10 points, and Kerron Johnson dished out 10 assists for the
visitors.
For TTU (6-9, 0-3), Jud Dillard tallied a double-double with 21 points and 11
rebounds, while Dennis Ogbe chipped in 11 points. The Golden Eagles are now
losers of five in a row.
Belmont got out to a commanding 51-24 advantage at the break behind a 62.5
percent shooting effort from the field in the opening 20 minutes.
The Bruins' pace slowed to 48 percent in the second half but their lead was
never in doubt.
Belmont finished by going 13-of-25 from 3-point range, while TTU shot just 5-
of-23 from beyond the arc.
