Narveson have agreed to a one-year contract, thus avoiding arbitration.

Over five seasons, the 31-year-old southpaw has compiled a 26-18 record with a
4.67 ERA in 95 games (63 starts) with St. Louis and Milwaukee.
Also on Thursday, the Brewers agreed to a minor league contract with former
18-game winner Kelvim Escobar. The 36-year-old right-hander has appeared in
just one game in the majors since 2007.
