Davidson, NC (Sports Network) - De'Mon Brooks scored 15 points as the Davidson
Wildcats rolled over The Citadel Bulldogs, 70-38, in a Southern Conference
showdown at Belk Arena.
Jake Cohen added 12 points for Davidson (10-7, 5-1 SoCon), which has now won
three of its last four contests. Tyler Kalinoski added four steals off the
bench while 11 players scored in the blowout.
Matt Van Scyoc scored a team-high eight points for The Citadel (3-13, 0-6) but
turned the ball over seven times. Mike Groselle grabbed nine rebounds to go
along with seven points.
The Wildcats scored the first seven points of the game and jumped out to a
38-19 halftime advantage after shooting 53.6 percent from the floor. The
Citadel struggled with turnovers in the first half, coughing it up 13 times
while forcing just seven Davidson miscues.
The Bulldogs continued to struggle after intermission as they made just five
second-half field goals and 7-of-14 at the free-throw line.
Davidson, which registered 27 points off 26 turnovers by the Bulldogs,
improves to 95-45 over The Citadel all-time with the victory.
