Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Otto Porter Jr. scored 21 points and Markel
Starks added 16 as No. 15 Georgetown downed 18th-ranked Marquette, 63-55, at
Verizon Center.
Nate Lubick added 10 points and helped limit Marquette's two leading scorers,
Vander Blue and Davante Gardner, to nine total points.
The Hoyas (18-4, 8-3 Big East) have rattled off six consecutive wins to pull
even with Marquette for second place in the conference, a half-game behind
Syracuse.
The Golden Eagles (17-6, 8-3) received 13 points from Jamil Wilson and 11 from
Chris Otule, but committed 19 turnovers as their two-game win streak came to
an end.
