Ogden, UT (Sports Network) - Kyle Tresnak tallied 15 points and seven rebounds
as the Weber State Wildcats dismissed the Idaho State Bengals, 56-40, in a Big
Sky Conference bout at the Dee Events Center.
Davion Berry scored 14 points, while Frank Otis tallied a double-double with
10 points and 10 rebounds for Weber State (17-5, 12-2 Big Sky), which has
conquered four straight decisions.
For Idaho State (4-19, 3-11), only Melvin Morgan netted double figures with 12
points. The Bengals, who shot just 38.6 percent from the floor, extended their
losing streak to six games.
Weber State opened up a 31-21 lead at halftime after shooting 48.1 percent
from the field in the opening 20 minutes. The Wildcats were up by as many as
17, but Idaho State closed the gap with a 7-0 run to close out the frame.
The Wildcats' field goal efficiency improved to 50 percent after intermission,
and the Bengals never got closer than seven points of the lead.
Weber State, which led the game wire-to-wire, dominated the rebounding battle,
35-20.
