outstanding defense as well, holding NDSU to less than 29 percent shooting.
The Zips carried a comfortable 37-23 lead into halftime.
The Bison made things interested by cutting their deficit to just six with
7:35 to play, but the Zips put an end to the threat by scoring nine
consecutive points to pull away.
Akron won the rebounding battle, 43-36, which helped it overcome an
underwhelming 14-of-28 showing from the free-throw line.
