Manhattan, NY (Sports Network) - Grant Mullins scored 18 points to lead the
Columbia Lions to a 58-41 rout of the Penn Quakers in an Ivy League conflict
at Levien Gymnasium.
Brian Barbour added 12 points and Maodo Lo tacked on 11 points for Columbia
(11-13, 3-7) which ended a three-game losing streak.
Tony Hicks netted 19 points as the only player in double figures for Penn
(7-19, 4-5) which had a brief two-game winning streak come to an end.
Columbia shot 52 percent from the field, hit six shots from beyond the arc
and held Penn scoreless from 3-point range to take a 35-25 lead at halftime.
The Lions failed to record a field goal in the final 15 minutes of the game
but Penn didn't take advantage by managing just four field goals in the second
period.
Columbia had a 19-12 edge in points off turnovers and 10 more points from
the free-throw line (22-12) than the Quakers.
