Indians Review:

At Goodyear Ballpark, a Sandy Alomar-guided squad battled the Reds through 6 scoreless frames before reserve catcher Omir Santos bounced a 2-run ground-rule double over the right-field wall to put Cleveland on the board.

The eventual 3-run rally was set up by Chris McGuiness' single and Mark Reynolds' double; Reynolds doubled twice in 3 at-bats for two of the Tribe's 8 hits. Fronted by 2.0 spotless frames each from both Zach McAllister and Daisuke Matsuzaka, 7 Cleveland pitchers combined to hold Cincinnati to just a 6th-inning single.

Tribe manager Terry Francona led a separate band of Erie Warriors to Maryvale Baseball Park, where Cleveland leaned on a pair of home runs from Carlos Santana (3rd inning, 2-run) and Ezequiel Carrera (6th inning, solo) to beat Milwaukee 7-4.

Mike Aviles, Cord Phelps and Mike McDade also drove in runs, while Scott Kazmir, Trevor Bauer and David Huff chipped in 2.0 scoreless innings apiece on the bump. Bauer struck out a pair and was credited with the victory.

The Indians will head to East Phoenix tomorrow for a 3:05PM ET first pitch against the Oakland Athletics. RHP Justin Masterson is scheduled to take the mound opposite LHP Andrew Werner.
