  • Number 5: This week's fifth-best performance comes from the Feb. 15 boys basketball game between Brecksville-Broadview Heights and Westlake. The Bees jumped out to an early lead, but Westlake fought back to take the game into overtime. The Demons fell short, 66-63, but Westlake junior Makis Beach shows the grit of the Demons in this photo, as he attacks the basket.
  • Number 2: This week's second-best performance comes from Cleveland State University, as the school hosted the Northeast Ohio District swimming and diving meet. The photo features Cuyahoga Falls junior Nicole Rozsa. She is in the middle of a back one-and one-half somersault pike dive, as the judges look on. Rozsa would score a 37.95 for the dive and qualify for the state meet.
  • Number 3: This week's third-best performance comes from the first round of the hockey playoffs with North Olmsted taking on Brecksville Broadview Heights. The game was tied going into the third period of play when Brecksville broke open the game with two goals to secure the 3-1 win to advance to the next round. This photo captures Brecksville junior forward Joseph Sullivan taking a shot on goal and Eagles goaltender Chase Cullinan reacting to the puck in mid-air.
  • Number 4: This week's fourth-best performance comes from the newly formed Lake Effect Conference and the first-ever girls hoops championship game between Horizon Science Academy and St. Martin de Porres. The photo captures the championship pose by the Lady Lions, as they earned the 35-21 win. Great job, ladies!
  • Number 1: With the playoffs underway in all winter sports, this week's top spot is a shout-out to all the winter sports senior student-athletes who have finished their careers on the high school level. We thank you for all the exciting action over the past four years and wish you the best in your future endeavors. This photo is from Lake Center Christian School's Senior Night ceremony.
