Tempe, AZ (Sports Network) - The Arizona Cardinals cleared some salary cap
space on Friday by releasing cornerback William Gay and linebacker Stewart
According to the team's website, the moves will save the Cardinals about $5.5
million of cap space. Bradley, who took a pay cut in 2012, was due to make $5
million in 2013, while Gay was set to make $1.75 million.
Gay had 57 tackles, one sack and two interceptions in 16 games (15 starts)
last season, his first with the Cardinals. The Louisville product played in
every game for the Steelers from 2007-2011.
Bradley signed a five-year contract with Arizona in 2011 after three seasons
with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Nebraska product had just 11 tackles last
year after recording 31 tackles the season before.
