Davie, FL (Sports Network) - The Miami Dolphins brought in another potential weapon for Ryan Tannehill on Friday, with the actively spending club reaching an agreement with free agent wide receiver Brandon Gibson.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel reported the deal to be for three years.

Gibson is coming off a solid 2012 season with the St. Louis Rams in which the four-year pro accumulated career-highs for receiving yards (691) and touchdowns (5) while hauling in 51 passes. Since entering the NFL in 2009, he has compiled 174 catches totaling 2,090 yards and nine touchdowns.

The 25-year-old is the latest addition to a remade pass-catching corps in Miami, with the team previously landing coveted wideout Mike Wallace at the onset of free agency and signing ex-Jets tight end Dustin Keller earlier on Friday. The Dolphins also retained Brian Hartline, the club's leading receiver a year ago, on a five-year contract earlier this month.

"We are happy that Brandon is joining the team," said Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland. "Coupled with the earlier addition today of Dustin Keller, we feel that we have added some very good pieces to our passing game."
