GOODYEAR -- The Indians defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 4-2 this afternoon at Goodyear Ballpark, improving to 14-8-2 on the Cactus League slate.

Starter UBALDO JIMENEZ held the Brew Crew to a pair of runs over 5.1 frames, fanning 5 against just a single walk.

The bullpen quartet of JERRY GIL, VINNIE PESTANO, JOE SMITH and SCOTT BARNES combined for 3.2 scoreless innings of relief. DREW STUBBS and LOU MARSON paced the Tribe with 2 hits apiece.

MARK REYNOLDS drew a bases-loaded walk in the first inning to open the scoring and RBI-singles from EZEQUIEL CARRERA and Marson in the 6th erased a 2-1 deficit.

CORD PHELPS capped the afternoon with his own RBI-triple in the 8th.

Tuesday will mark Cleveland's second and final off day of the spring before the club heads to Tempe Diablo Stadium on Wednesday for a 4:05 p.m. tilt against the Los Angeles Angels.

Right-handers TREVOR BAUER and TOMMY HANSON are scheduled to take the bump.
