Santa Clara, CA (Sports Network) - The San Francisco 49ers signed safety Darcel McBath to a one-year contract on Thursday.

The 27-year-old McBath signed with the 49ers before last season and played mostly on special teams, where he totaled eight tackles in the regular season and one in the playoffs.

A second round pick of Denver in 2009, he has played in 37 games with San Francisco, Jacksonville and Denver over his four seasons in the NFL. He has 52 tackles and two interceptions during his time in the league.
