Winter Haven, FL (Sports Network) - Melissa Eaton closed with an even-par 72
on Sunday to win the Florida's Natural Charity Classic by three strokes.
Eaton finished her first Symetra Tour victory at 10-under-par 206.
The South African wrapped birdies at three and five around a bogey on the
fourth at Lake Region Yacht and Country Club. Eaton faltered to a double-bogey
on the par-4 eighth to slide to minus-9.
After five straight pars, Eaton stumbled to another bogey at the 14th. Amelia
Lewis birdied the 16th to grab the lead at minus-9.
Lewis tripped to bogeys on the final two holes before Eaton made eagle at the
last to win by three.
Lewis struggled to a 2-over 74 to end at 7-under 209. She was joined there by
Courtney Massey (66) and Sue Kim (67). Caroline Westrup (72) took fifth at
minus-6, while Samantha Richdale (74) was one shot back at 5-under 211.
