We've reached Week 4 of the high school football season, which signals not only the start of league play for most Northeast Ohio teams, but also the point in the schedule in which WKYC's Dave Chudowsky releases his first "Terrific Ten Poll" of the prep gridiron season and ranks the area's best squads.

After cruising to a 3-0 start, the St. Edward Eagles sit atop Chudowsky's inaugural poll of 2013. A win against highly touted Cincinnati Elder on Saturday would likely keep them on top of next week's poll, but a loss could see them slip them down a few positions.

Chudowsky currently has the Mentor Cardinals ranked fifth. After suffering a disappointing home loss to St. Ignatius in Week 2, Mentor rebounded with a 36-0 win at Euclid.

The Kirtland Hornets sit 10th in this week's poll, but don't be surprised if they slowly climb their way up the rankings. Kirtland has outscored its first three opponents by a combined score of 185-28.
