New Orleans, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - The New Orleans Pelicans will be
without sixth man Tyreke Evans for 1-to-2 weeks after the swingman was
diagnosed with a sprained ankle.
Evans, who joined New Orleans following a trade from Sacramento this summer,
has been playing through a sprained left ankle for the bulk of the season but
will require some time to heal after leaving Friday's 109-95 loss to the
Evans missed six preseason games with the same injury.
The former Rookie of the Year has struggled adapting to his new bench role
with the Pelicans, averaging a career-low 11.8 points per game in 19
appearances. Evans started 247 of 257 games in four seasons with the Kings.
