The Cuyahoga Heights High School football team is headed to Columbus to play in the program’s first-ever state title game when the Redskins play Marion Local in the Division VI championship game on Friday morning in Columbus.
Cuyahoga Heights is the only Ohio high school football team that remains undefeated.
The Redskins are led by senior quarterback Brett Lowther, a first-team all-state selection. He has thrown for 1,612 yards and 17 touchdowns in addition to gaining rushing 657 yards. Junior Lucas D’orazio, a special mention all-state honoree, is the team’s leading rusher with 917 yards.
Cuyahoga Heights has allowed an average of 5.25 points per contest in the team’s first four playoff games, the lowest of any state finals team.

Head coach Al Martin spoke about his team and the title game with reporters from across the state via teleconference on Monday.
Marion Local is ranked first in the final Associated Press poll and Cuyahoga Heights is slotted second.
Kickoff is set for 10 a.m. at Ohio Stadium
