AURORA -- Julie Gorman always has a place on the Chagrin Falls High School's sideline at football games, taking pictures of the action.

But Julie's perspective is unique. She's not snapping shots for a newspaper and she isn't a professional photographer either.

She's a "football mom," and her son, Chris, is a senior at Chagrin Falls. Julie's been working the sidelines of football games since Chris' freshman year.

At the end of each season, she turns her pictures into a highlight video for the players.

"I feel like I'm actually part of the team, and, at the same time, making memories for these kids," she said between snapshots of Chagrin's playoff win against Cortland Lakeview. "Sometimes I don't think [the players] know how special these times are."

That's why Julie captures the moments for them. This year's team has had plenty of them as they remain undefeated going into the Division IV State regional finals.

Julie says it's the Tigers teamwork that has made this season so successful.

"They are all about being a team and winning as a team. Their joy when their teammate makes a great play is as good when they make a great play," she says.

Chagrin Falls plays its next game Saturday night against Peninsula Woodridge High School. The winner advances to the state semifinals.
