Cleveland Indians make rotation change amid Trevor Bauer injury

Trevor Bauer injures finger repairing drone

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Indians have made a change to their starting pitching rotation following an injury to Trevor Bauer's hand, the team announced Friday afternoon.

Bauer was originally scheduled to start Game 2 of the American League Championship Series on Saturday opposite J.A. Happ.

Instead, Josh Tomlin will start Saturday, pushing Bauer back to Game 3 opposite Marcus Stroman in Toronto on Monday. Tomlin had been scheduled to start Game 3.

According to the team, Bauer suffered a non-baseball-related laceration to his right pinky finger. The injury required several stitches.

Indians General Manager Chris Antonetti said that Bauer suffered the injury while fixing a drone.
