Cleveland Indians' Yan Gomes diagnosed with fractured wrist

CLEVELAND - Cleveland Indians' catcher Yan Gomes has had a rough season, and Friday resulted in more bad news.

Gomes has been diagnosed with a fractured right wrist, which he suffered when he was hit by a pitch during a rehab assignment game Wednesday with the AA-Akron RubberDucks. Gomes underwent an MRI Thursday.

The team announced Friday that Gomes will see a specialist Friday night.
