CLEVELAND - With the Cleveland Indians currently at baseball's biggest stage, the team's name and logo has also jumped to the forefront of many conversations.
The franchise's Chief Wahoo logo has been a hot button topic for years and now, the team name has joined the conversation.
In an interview with ESPN's "Mike and Mike" radio show Tuesday, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred said he has plans to meet with Indians owner Larry Dolan regarding the team's logo, Fox Sports reports.
"I understand that particular logo is offensive to some people, and I understand why," Manfred said on the radio show. "On the other side of the coin, you have a lot of fans that have history and are invested in the symbols of the Indians."
Manfred said he and Dolan plan to meet following the World Series.
