Scramble is on for ALCS tickets, merchandise

Tribe fans rallying around playoff run

CLEVELAND - Though it is a great time to be a Tribe fan, it is an expensive time too.

Today a limited number of tickets for Games 1 and 2, and possibly 6 and 7, of the ALCS home games at Progressive Field went on sale at 10 a.m. on the Indians' website.

They sold out in 20 minutes.

By this afternoon, standing room on StubHub started at $125 bucks while the best available seats in the house were selling for up to $1800 per ticket.

Over at the team shop Tuesday, fans spent hundreds of dollars at a time on gear. They included Ronald Freeman.

“This season I got into it and just had to go with it,” he said.

Rachel Turk bought her boyfriend a t-shirt.

“I’ve been wanting to buy stuff for like forever and a day now,” she said. “Finally was like ‘they’re winning!’”

Debbie Braun believes the next series will still be a challenge. She is making no predictions, but believes the Indians can come out on top.

“I always believed that something’s going to happen,” she said. “Something magical.”
