WATCH | Cleveland Cavaliers ride New York City subway ahead of game against Knicks

Following their team shootaround in New York City on Monday morning, the Cleveland Cavaliers had two options for their ride back to the team hotel: a 45-minute ride on the team bus or six minutes on the subway.

The Cavs chose the latter.

LeBron James even documented the team's commute on social media, posting footage of himself, Kyle Korver, Channing Frye and Dwyane Wade riding the Big Apple's most-famous transportation system on his 'UNINTERRUPTED' platform. That very video proceeded to go viral, thanks in large part to a portion in which a patron sitting next to James appeared to get upset over being filmed without his consent.

Following their well-documented subway ride, the Cavs will return to Madison Square Garden later on Monday evening, where they'll take on the New York Knicks at 7:30 p.m. ET. It seems unlikely the team's subway trip will turn out to be anything more than a one-off -- if for no reason other than the concerns of team security.
