Browns trade 4th pick away to Buffalo

After weeks of speculation and guessing at who the Browns would take with the 4th pick overall in the 2014 NFL Draft, just moments before their selection was due, Cleveland traded down to allow the Buffalo Bills to move up.

The Browns swapped spots with Buffalo and moved down to #9. The Browns pick up a first and fourth round pick in 2015 as a result of the trade.

The Bills then selected Clemson Wide Receiver Sammy Watkins with the 4th pick--a selection that had been widely talked about as the person the Browns were leaning towards selecting.

The 6-foot, 211-pound Watkins finished with 240 catches for 3,391 yards and 27 touchdowns in his three seasons at Clemson.

The Browns then swapped again with Minnesota to move up to pick 8th. The Browns selected Justin Gilbert out of Oklahoma State with the pick
