BEREA - In the week he was set to return from a suspension, Armonty Bryant was cut by the Cleveland Browns, the team announced Monday morning.
The linebacker was serving a four-game suspension handed down by the NFL. He pleaded guilty to attempted drug possession in July after police stopped him for speeding and found marijuana, prescription pills and a loaded gun in the car. The car belonged to former teammate De'Ante Saunders.
Bryant was a seventh round pick in 2013. He appeared in 31 games, accumulating 71 tackles, 8.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
