CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Browns talked with former Washington Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan today and have scheduled a meeting with him for Wednesday.
Shanahan, 34, has been the offensive coordinator for the Redskins the past four seasons and their offense finished in the Top 10 the past two years in yards per game. He was fired in December.
The Browns are scheduled to meet with Oakland Raiders' quarterback coach John DeFilippo on Thursday. DeFilippo, 35, is a Youngstown native and was also the offensive coordinator for San Jose State.
The Browns are also interested in Dallas Cowboys play caller Bill Callahan. He is signed through 2014 but the Cowboys have signed Scott Linehan as the new play caller. That may change things.
